Hi, I'm SFO, and on this channel I make political and philosophical content. There's a lot wrong with the world at the moment, and I don't really have any way to affect political change other than making videos on pertinent topics, so I'll do what I can. My political position is a liberal centrist - I believe that free western capitalist democracy is the best political system we have, and that it's under attack from all sides, from SJWs, from religious extremism, from radical feminism, from identitarianism, from both progressivism and regressivism, from extremism from both ends of the political spectrum. If you're expecting me to either be alt-right, or side with social justice, you're going to be very disappointed.

  1. Only with the victory of communism is the further development of society possible. Now the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Think for yourself whether you can afford to have your own children?

  2. Teddy Roosevelt was a hunter, cowboy, herdsman, lawman, naturalist, historian, and survivalist all at the same time 100 years ago. Speak softly and carry a big stick, and don’t be a commie

  3. "what's your job on the leftist commune??

im gonna be leading discussion on theory some days, making clothes from scraps other days, and making lattes whenever needed."

So in a capitalist system you would work at Starbucks, post nonsense on Twitter, and occasionally buy the clothes rejected from donation centres and the thread needed to make new outfits with them.

  4. Joining the army after a communist takeover doesn't sound so bad though, these societies have a disproportionate demand for manpower in the military so you have a much higher chance of actually getting this role than anything else, and once you've signed on you get to arrest communist and ruin the lives of communists. In the name of communism, of course.
Benefits also include special privileges and food being prioritized to you instead of bakers and farmers. You are also issued a firearm in a society that heavily restricts firearms.
You don't have to worry about being sent to war because your state will be literally too broke to wage a war for any amount of time, so all you have to do is train, get fit and sometimes arrest and shoot the same people who caused all of that in the first place, so you wont even feel all that bad about it.

  5. for me it's easy: if capitalism does not get rid of corruption, i keep doing what i'm doing. If socialism comes, i'll pick whichever job is open the most. Communism is easy: I'd be dead, so no need to consider that possibility or think about it.

  6. Everyone in the communist utopia wants to be the guy that makes coffee and hangs out with cool people but no one wants to be the one to be doing the backbreaking minework that sees you with lung issues by your 40s. They worship the Marxist Ideal but they cannot reconcile it with Marxist Reality.

  7. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing devision of the Sirius Cybernetic Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes"
    Douglas Adams

  8. The state won't know your true skills and talents and won't care. You'll do as your told. You were selected to learn coal mine engineering in school and that is what you will do until you die.

  9. Most of the things they name they could do and work towards right now and in fact, have a better chance in succeeding.
After the revolution, it's mostly manual labour or menial jobs because academic positions are reserved for those of high status. Academia and education open the door to positions of power and you can't have those go to the ideologically impure, troublemakers of old or the 'enemy'. If any, only some of the lucky ones will be allowed to continue working their prior academic jobs, granted they don't fall into the 'enemy' category, which is pretty likely, considering this is a class struggle.
