  1. As a Youtube producer, over 90% of my audience is in another country. How does the Canadian government have any right to tax or influence or modify what I do? I already pay the US taxes….

  2. There's no way the Senate does anything reasonable here. The bill will go forward and it will be another authoritarian notch on the belt of Justin Trudeau. But hey, at least we have weed to dull the pain.

  3. Thanks for the video mate. As a newcomer to Canada you explained the political process really well. I can't help but notice the Canadian content on the radio being forced down your throat and I agree, you become resentful. Love seeing the senator texting in the reflection – haha. Best of luck 🤞🏻

  4. Start pushing and supporting the opposition to Justin Trudeau and his oppressive policies.
If Trudeau stays in power, Canadian youtubers lose. If Trudeau is defeated and punted, Canadian youtubers win. Start openly helping the opposition.

  5. I don't know exactly where my beliefs sit in the political spectrum. It's certainly not far right or far left. But I'm so tired of Justin and his constant tampering with "the system" that I hope the PC demolished Trudeau in the next election.

YouTube is fine as it is (not the business model so much, but the free access I have to it). I don't need the government telling me I need more Canadian content. Where does this form of madness end?

  6. I remember back in the 90's the CRTC had to mandate 50% Canadian content on TV and radio. Amazingly enough, that was the decade of Alannis, Sarah, Celine, Tom Cochrane, etc… so great art came out of it. But I dislike the CENSORSHIP aspect of this bill, ie, getting rid of little folks like YOU and ME on the NET!
