I remember back by around mid 90’s maybe, government wanted to implement gps into auto makers production, however, congress ruled it was an invasion of citizens privacy to allowed to be tracked or surveilled. Then comes along Tom Tom a basic gps mapping system to assist drivers to their destination. A private company sells to whom ever wanted them. Popular as it became to a point that Americans demand of these devices soon were injected into all american cars by 2010. Government will always go around the law somehow to complete their agenda.
