Shit I was thinking the exact thing about the CIA when you said they want to start their own currency. The US assassinated the president of Panama and put in Noriega when he refused to reopen the canal treaty negotiated with Carter.

What if… What if… 30 countries who wanted their own currency did so, all at once, all at the same time? You could end up in a situation where the real U.S. power centers will be forced to expose themselves in such a way that they cannot avoid the backlash.

Lula was an ally of Putin in the past, when BRICS was a thing, I could easily see BRICS alliance (economic in nature, not military) coming back. Russia and China have already been working hard on strengthening their currencies, the ruble is higher than it ever was in the past 10 years. China could start paying Saudis with Yuan. Brazil could follow if Lula is elected. That leaves India and South Africa. I could see India also doing the same with all that's been going on.
