Yep my mate works for Simonds. They had a meeting. Told all the workers if they get a text message in the next 10 minutes once the meeting is over, to walk through to the bosses door. Most workers with long experience with the company were laid off. They kept most of the inexperienced workers. My mate stayed on with just just 8 weeks work with Simonds. Absolute joke. No rewards for loyalty

So it might a good idea to drop $500 in the shares. I will win or lose $500

Pretty sure that part of the excuses for prior companies going down was a lack of skilled labour….. Quietly pondering the fact that this company is cutting skilled workers to survive.

We bought land to build a couple months ago. Our conveyancer said it's very quiet, much lower land sales. current land will be settled in 12 to 18 months sobi expect significant downturn in a yr.
I work in construction in the industrial sector. Its still very busy but mostly jobs planned for a yr ago.
I think it will be like 2008, just enough work to keep the lights on.
Can't complain, we got through covid with redicouls amounts of work and stimulus

Sorry don't agree, students won't be coming back in the same numbers as pre-con19, also tourists, most people are now tapped out, Phuket tourism is in the toilet, Thailand is relatively cheap holiday, people don't even have the money for that, so an expansive country like Australia, I think not.
