The US has finally stopped pretending to be pro-peace: with China proposing a plan for a ceasefire, Secretary of War Antony Blinken announced that stopping the war is unacceptable. And when CodePink’s Medea Benjamin called for Blinken to act as a diplomat instead of a war hawk, she was dragged out of the room by security. The US does not want peace.

So to dig deeper into the US’s aggression, we asked Twitter superhero Michael Tracey to help us unearth more evidence of warmongering weapons-dealers calling themselves politicians.

What he found was a 2014 interview with Democratic Senator Chris Murphy, after a trip to Ukraine with best bud John McCain, unknowingly giving away the US’s entire efforts of regime change.

“With him being forthright about the decisive role that the United States played in ousting Yanukovych from power,” Tracey explains, noting that Murphy didn’t know this would become a hot topic. “He’s talking about it as though he’s recounting just an average day’s work that wouldn’t have any noteworthy political content.”

But he tells us why Murphy’s confession is so important: “If today somebody who was not a US senator uttered the same exact words that Murphy did in these clips to describe US conduct in 2014 in Kyiv, they would be accused of being a Russian propagandist.”

  1. In case of a cease fire they are projecting on Russia exactly what NATO did with the Minsk Agreement. More time (8 years) to re-equip, retrain the Ukrainian army and restart operation at a time of the US government choosing.

  3. Actually US politicians are really idiots. They fall in to Putin trap big time . Russia has no interest to cease any fire . They will take the entire UKRAIN . Than they will stop US a bunch o ignorants and stupid politicians

  4. I'm a peaceful old man, I've only felt the urge to excessively hurt someone a few times in my life.

Case in point: after seeing hundreds of thousands of men, women and children die of or on the verge of starvation, I heard a leader in Mogadishu say that: "We must stop the thousands of tons of food being sent to help from the rest of the world in the harbor to rot, because they could give a political advantage to our adversaries."

I'm feeling the same tingling sensation growing……

  5. Fabulous! The Europeans and Americans will have to go to Moscow to grovel to Putin. The USA and ICC are both such jokes. No mention of Zelensky's war crimes which are much more grievous and factual. The reality is, thanks to Biden's complete failure to lead, Russia is no longer interested in anything the west has to say since all they do is lie. BRICS will finish the petro dollar and America will, at best, be able to ask China for some help through the Belt and Road Initiative.

  6. What Angela Merkel said that Minsk accord was a way to buy time to Ukraine built militarily to attack Russia is the same tactic now the US officials are using to accuse Russia of buying time to wage another offensive under the name of ceasefire.

  7. Open source originated from software developers. It ensures software is secure and doesn’t contain back doors among other things. Diebold voting machines for example are not open source.

  8. Isn’t Murphy getting it wrong now statistically predictable in a competitive environment? I’m astonished people are still not approaching public issues and politicians this way. Competition + public issue = death of the campaign promise.

  9. Wyoming's new "let's murder women for killing zygotes" move gives the "Pro-Life" game away in an even more blatant way than the usual political views of Evangelicals. It's always been obvious that this movement has little problem with waging wars or concern for the well being of non- Christian or non- white children once they enter the world. Jews and Israel are sort of okay because they'll bring on Armageddon and then go to hell anyway. Lovely people.
