People call me stupid or crazy sometimes when I suggest that China could very well be setting up private militaries inside countries whether in businesses China owns or has holds on, like they do in twitter, or now under the excuse that they are "cracking down on scammers"

I like this channel, but the comment against the French was unnecessary. I imagine it’s complicated, but I would say it’s possible that the main reason France surrendered in the Second World War, was because they share a massive land border with Germany. Tanks, jeeps, horses and boots are all you need to get troops across that border. Contrary to the belief that it was just our grit and backbone that kept the Germans out of Britain, the channel was our greatest ally. Everything had to be on a boat or a plane. Easier targets.
