Pat missles are probably stale dated and that is why they can 'sell' them off. USA is dumping all of its old ordinance into Europe. Missles expire the fuels, electronics and batteries deteriorate from day one.

Personally, I believe that it's in the Russians interest to keep the conflict as local as possible in order to underscore the point that the escalation is primarily coming from the west, and to show that insofar as Russia is escalating, it is only because they have no other option. That said, it's looking increasingly likely that Russia will have to completely defeat all military forces under the Ukrainian banner in Ukraine in order for there to be any chance of a cessation of active hostilities.

My view on the patriot system in Ukraine is very simple….they need a “story” that they can use to explain all the deaths of NATO military…aka a smokescreen. Without this leaders need to explain why they are in Ukraine.
