Not just installing as a end user but what if you are a mom and pop shop pc store and you have to install Windows 11 about 50 times per day.
This would slow down the entire process having to install account info each and every time for a fresh install. Bad move Microsoft.
More spying, more invasions of privacy. Fuuuuck that.
Ive had PC for 24 years and never ever made a Microsoft account, and i never will. I will never use any crappy subscription programs, if i dont own it outright then i dont want it. Leasing just comes with a boatload of problems and issues and that goes for cars aswell. Better to own stuff outright
Theres always a Ruski haxx for everything that you can get. Its much safer to download that than letting huge corporations into your bedroom.
Sooooo tired of these companies milking us like a cow, without our knowledge. Thanks for this.
Missed opportunity to plug ThisIsWin11 and OOSU! Excellent privacy and debloat tools for w11
I know that they target ads to you because I was getting a new PC and I just kept getting ads about companies that sell prebuilts
Windows 11 is malware and a virus, so no thanks 😉
The best way: don’t use Windows!
I know someone who is looking for a new computer and has decided to switch to Apple because they're creeped out by Microsoft 11. I'm not saying that that's the best thing but that person has their whole life been against Apple.
ill just use fedora
There is also yet another RET@RD3D feature of Windows 11, when you do restart PC without logging in like when you change something in bios and restart over and over to test if it boots, then you have your account perma blocked until you will log in with an online account, fkn absurd.
Hey I never had a issue, just unplug the ethernet or remove the wifi card but now after watching I know a easier route THANKS! ALSO I've been installing a Rufus patched October version win 11 to bypass tpm and secure boot then just update it all the way once installed.
Maybe 3 weeks ago was different… I just fresh installed windows 11 using USB flash drive média creation; I just clicked create off-line account just like windows 10 was. Not workaround needed!
Use linux
Add block much ?
I have a question. Google force user to have google account. Why people don't have any problem with that?
Thumbs up and saved to Favorites. Thank you for this most useful video!
Great video, it’s unbelievable the level of audacity these companies possess in order to breach privacy.
If you're going to use a fake email address, you've got to choose one that is real in the sense that the domain will RESOLVE., as they'll be checking.
If the DNS lookup only happens locally, you could run your own local bind9 server, set up with your fake domain info. and maked sure you have your local SOHO router using it for it's DNS.
There are lots of variants on this. Get creative!
Windows makes me believe in God alright!
Because I know I'm in EFFING hell when using window's!
Oh "what's that Satan, another update.. no shit"?
Microsoft: "alright one more cumulative preview and he should end his own life, then he's coming down here, with it the clown.
Microsoft employee: " With it the clown?" Dudes so weird.
Microsoft: "Ya, but hes got balloons so it's fine."
Employee: "I quit!"
Microsoft: "We're all in hell you can't quit! Ok fine walk away real mature…
I'm kinda new to this, what is the benefit of using a local account? I used a local account until I wanted to use the microsoft store and apps, which I signed in and now my local account is an online one.
I am just so sick of the kind of attitude microsoft is displaying here, I really wish there was a power user alternative to windows (thats as easy to use)
4 months a year i live on an island which is very flakey internet so yes "Windows" not everyone has 24/7 connection.
I would say to just Linux, but I won't.
They want you on the "cloud" to end your rights and freedoms.
I just won't install Windows 11 until I absolutely have to.
Just get windows 11 ghost spectre
I was screaming about this in June 2021. I'm still screaming.
Thanks Jayz. Sadly Shift+F10 worked but Network Connection Flow was missing (think this is probably due to Asus with their retail installation). No worries, went to option 2. Put my e-mail addy in & immediately disconnected from the Internet. Had to hit next 4 times but then got Name this device & Name the user. Job Done. It's a new laptop & did not want my personal info on it. Being recently retired, just prepared for anything untoward happening & wife can use it to pay utility bills/Council Tax (property tax)/Mobile phone bill etc. She is not very I.T. savy. Now running Win 11 for the 1st time but oh those updates…
Probably you should name the video "How to install Windows 11 offline", I'm sure people who need to install it offline won't bother opening/watching a video that says "Don't let Microsoft get away with this"
Thanks for your video Jayz – I legitimately had to use this "trick" to install a legit Windows 11 on my new machine because it just wouldn't connect to LAN (despite it being a bog-standard Intel Lan Chip on a regular ASUS motherboard). F U Microsoft, really. Hope W11 is better after all of this installation nonsense…doubt it though.
Never has it been more imperative to support WINE. I recently got fed up with Apple and switched to a Windows PC. Windows 10 is already pretty terrible, but there's no chance in hell I'll ever install Windows 11. This leads me with just two options going forward: Use Linux or don't use a PC at all. I'll do the latter if I have to, but I seriously hope that WINE will be good enough going forward that I can actually play all my games using it.
I wish I saw this video before I set my PC up and got everything downloaded and installed.
The best way to fix this problem is to get Linux and say Fudge Microsoft.
i sadly cant do an offline account because my product key is tied to my account and so the only way windows can activate is if i sign in
Essentially what they've been doing with 10 with forced updates and feature removing is completely illegal. The only point of 11 is to do more illegal things. Anyone who has at any point supported it. Is a moron. And if they continue to support it. There's no reason for them to stop any of it.
No net on my homestead. Also, there are frequent outtages. And finally, enough is enough the real reason is I dont want to move to a dumb terminal. Screw that! I want ownership of my hardware, I want to do whatever I want … And that is why I like having high capacity HDDs, processing power and RAM. If I want to run some math stuff.. Or process a video… Heck what if I want to run some other really weird OS? It should be my choice. Always my choice. Because the customer is always right not the manufacturer.
My home 🏡 had electricity ⚡️ outage, means no modem, no internet, only cellphone data.
I logged in to Skype PC, go to edge browser, looked at expedia website.
The on iPhone 📲 in YouTube, popped out expedia advertisements. I am baffled about the connection from my PC to my iPhone 🤔. My iPhone has no Microsoft items, my laptop has no Google nor iPhone items.🤔
Do yourself a favor and skip to like 6:30 so you don't have to listen to this fof
Funny, no one has complained about having to create a Google account for any half way decent phone or an apple id when setting up an I Device. In fact, when I purchased an apple TV 4K gen 2, I had to create an a0ple account (don't typically use apple products, personal preference). It wouldn't let me create an account until I installed itunes on a PC and signed in to create the account. Go try to create a new apple account, it forces you to install iTunes.
Google is by far the worst, although I can't get away from Android (not a fan of iOS, personal preference) so that's part of the issue. Apple collects data but they make money selling hardware. They aren't as dependent. Also, they not only get 30 percent of any sale through their app store but I'd you purchase something, like made up money in those pay to win games, they get 30 percent of that. So does Google, but it's 25 percent. Just slightly lower.
Google is a search engine and ad seller first. It's where they make the most of their money. They sell everything they can about you. The majority of data they get is through chrome regardless of the OS.
I really, really wish that Google and Facebook didn't invent the business model of free software for all your data, but they did. At first, it seemed like it wasn't a big deal but once you dug deeper, and some stories came out on how that data was used it's pretty disturbing to say the least on how that data is sold. When Google did street car view they were driving around connecting to open networks and stealing all your data. While it's stupid to have a wifi network without a password (this was early 2000's), that doesn't mean you should get to steal all their data. The entire thing with Cambridge Analytics wasn't a mistake by Facebook, it was by design. Mark Zuckerberg said to Congress that they take down 95 percent of hate speech. When their own internal studies leaked, it was actually only 5 percent.
MS doesn't make their enterprise users create MS accounts. At least not in the traditional sense as most companies are moving to Azure for AD authentication or sticking to an on premise AD. Yet, people want a completely free OS (at least for upgrades) that doesn't collect any data on you from a company that would probably prefer to sell licenses but because everyone expects software for free you want a company to just give you a free OS and not collect data on you. There is only one option for a free OS that doesn't spy on you., It''s called any open source Linux distro.
Yet you gladly walk around with a GPS, hot mic, plus all other sorts of sensors in smart phones gathering way more data on you then a PC or laptop ever could but creating an MS account is going to far even though the only way to install the Windows Subsystem for Linux Version 2 is through the MS app store now or via winget possibly. I wouldn't be surprised if they move the Windows Subsystem for Android to their app store also.
Right now I can use any Android app, including text messages through my computer, run pretty much any Linux Distro and still have the entire Windows ecosystem all on one PC. I never thought I would have rsynch and bash scripts running my backups from a Windows box, but now I do. If I have to create a Windows account to do so, granted I've had one since the OG Xbox, it's a non issue. If that's an issue for you, then why is creating a Gmail account or apple id any different? How much time do you spend on a personal PC/laptop compared to your smartphone?
I'm typing this as I'm setting up a brand new Lenovo system that comes with Windows 11 pre-installed. Here's another way to load Task Manager on the Ntework screen if Shift+F10 doesn't work:
Windows Key + R —> taskmgr
I'm Microsoft free. Been using Linux since the mid 1990's. FreeBSD as well. Not only do I build my own computer boxes like Jays, I also know how to compile a Linux operating system from scratch like LFS or Gentoo. I also run wine on both FreeBSD and Linux if I want to run Windows games or old MS programs. Looks like Windows 11 sucks the big one, and I don't know why anyone would want run that crap. Archlinux, Gentoo are fantastic, and yes worth the the big learning curve. Slackware (non systemd) has all software with NO Internet connection required on install then once connected to the net you can tap into Alien Bob's repositories and much more ! I have a Linux server which has been running more than 12 years. It just will not die. Albert Einstein : "The definition of insanity is when one keeps doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results." So the question is when are you all going to learn and do another path in computing? Besides Ms Bill Gates is now into farming and owns 30% of the US farmlands which means a lot of you are going to go hungry very soon if you don't buy survival kits and stock up food.
Win 11 can not even find "This PC"… no joke just try it. Complete joke of an OS.
FYI, the latest batch of HP laptops that came in have the limited setup button back just like in win 10. Regardless they will all be upgraded to 10 until 11 can get the basics right.
Did this today with a new laptop. Thanks Jay.
It wont activate doing this. You will still need a email for activation unless you have a product code.
That's a very clear explanation. Thank you Mr
Infuriating. The problem with a user account installation, other than privacy issues, is that unless you are logged in, you can't change accounts or anything else. You must be logged in to use Windows, essentially. I really hate Microsoft.
