There is nothing at all humourous about this. Every time you media clowns laugh off governmental malfeasance, the bad actors are emboldened to go further. Today's disclosure should have been met with righteous anger. Sarcasm would have been entirely acceptable. But treating it all as if someone slipped on a banana peel? Shame.

Brianna – my high school history class taught us media literacy. Essentially it was how to recognize bias of any political side in the news, and how bias can look even in photos in an article. It may be one of the most important few weeks we had. High schools everywhere should teach this, along with personal finances.
Have it done in high school to make sure most people will learn it. Since high school is already compulsory.
Critical analysis is good to introduce prior to college, sure. What I'd most like to see is a requirement to take a basic class in logic at the high school level. Much disinformation can be exposed by dismantling its invalid logic.

“Alternative” medias are another pool of lies. Because big media companies got bad fame, the alternative medias like Gab saw the opportunity to spread their lies, knowing that the masses are more open to “alternative” truths which differs to the official ones.

Just going to put this out there: I remember when Trump said something like if he loses to Hillary, then it was because of the Russians. I think it was around or during one of their debates right before the election. There was at least one meme that said “it’s not rigged, you’re just losing.” And Obama even said that there is no way that elections are rigged, etc. Right after Trump won, is when the Democrats started blaming Russia.
