Lex is very naive when it comes to the intent and nature of people like Francis and Tony “science”.
Lex is so frustratingly naive and optimistic about people sometimes
I know Lex is all in on government funding to finance his passions, regardless of value added to the public at large. He's very biased. But many people are aware of the monstrocity of the NIH, its small victories, and its massive failures. But no one believes in Francis Collins or Fauci. They are admins held without consequences for their arrogance and vast, massive, and numerous failures. He just can't acknowledge it because much of the work he's done is largely dependent on the government bureaucrats he's defending to fund.

Yes I think we should forgive but I think there is room and necessity for us to also get angry. Millions died and countless others will sufferable incalculable damage generationally as a result of this cover up. Until these men are held to account now is not time for mercy. Now is time for incredible courage and justice. Fauci and Collins not only made all the decisions they were clearly recipients of cobra effects as a result of those decisions. We NEED TO GET ANGRY AND HOLD THEM TO ACCOUNT. Love does not allow others to abuse others, negligently or knowingly
I guess everyone is different but I thought Collins' attitude and mannerisms came across as pretty arrogant in Lex's interview with him.
Come on guys really someone who arms the rich against the poor and small business is well meaning?

It is sooo clear that smart people are not always very humane,ANYONE who speaks like Collins did in that email is behaving in a self centered way,criminal behavior,and he is fully aware of it,money is behind this gross behavior and deep coruption,they have a plan and will stop at nothing to see it thru.It may hurt but we have to face this amd appose it with all our will and might to save humankind!
7:05 I think that's the angriest I've seen Lex Friedman. He is very disappointed and frustrated. You can see it right below the surface.

John, 6:47 "verily, verily I say unto you, he that believes in me has everlasting life."-Jesus. If you simply believe this applies to you, trust Jesus to save you, then you have everlasting life in heaven.
This is soo infuriating: NIH has done good things in society, therefore Francis Collins is a great man ? I can't believe I'm hearing this from a grown man having gone through the past 2 years and having seen the emails.

You can not say that something would have never happened without a particular persons involvement. Its just not true.
Computer programmers are the most idiotic of high IQ people. I have no proof of this but my gut screams it. They seem to lack some kind of fundamental form of common sense. Nearly all the money being thrown around to push these insane measures is coming from them. Lex seems to have some kind of learning disability when it comes to understanding the actual world.
Regardless of his thoughts on the potential dangers, when doctors and scientists stop challenging each others ideas we stop growing and innovating. The same is true outside of science. You're generous in your depiction of that email. It's dripping with the same arrogance that I see on Fauci's face when he testifies before the house reps. He can't fathom why anyone would question him. These men don't belong in places of power within out government. Maybe they did once, but not now.
So corrupt Collins!

If Lex still looks up to such evil and corrupt individuals like that Francis then he is part of the problem. He is why we are where the country and the world is. Ignorant and blind.
I kinda feel like I trust Lex just a little less after this. "Contextualizing," is the new Propaganda.
