Not sure if I'll get a reply on this issue I'm having with my car, but here goes..
I have a 2015 ford taurus police interceptor with the 3.7 awd.
It has 100k miles.
The fuel pump went out and had it replaced.
Ever since then, I have not been able to gas up.
I can pump about 2 gallons in and then the pump shuts off.
If I keep trying to pump fuel, it'll start to spill out from underneath the car.
Yes, gas gauge is accurate. I'm not trying to fill up an already full car.
I have replaced the charcoal canister, but that didn't fix the issue.
From what I understand, this is a venting issue and we believe that it may be an issue with the fuel tank itself.
I'm trying to troubleshoot what else could be causing the issue, but I'm stumped.
Any tips or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
What I heard here was, have an Electric Vehicle. 😆

Gas prices would plummet, if everyone used the bus. Supply and demand drives up prices. If people want gas, the gas companies will raise the price.

If the guy with the air bag problem Takes it to a Honda dealer, he’ll get it repaired for free because it’s a safety issue. I just had my 2005 Honda accord fixed for free because the seatbelts switch was leaving the airbag light on. So it won’t cost the owner of that car a dime.

I have a 2005 chevy colorado, I took it to auto zone to have it scanned and the computer says a double miss in cylinder 2. The auto zone workers said that the injectors are bad. Would that really cause a double miss or would it be the injectors and possibly coil packs
$3.15 in MN went up 20 cents in two months.

Compare at a macro level… take the top 8 countries in the world… compare each countries fuel costs last year and this year…. THEN… you isolate the facts….

We have paid these gas prices before a few years back 4.50 gallon so this isn’t anything new other than it sure is hard on the family’s budget.

Blaming the US govt (or the President) for economic complaints doesn't explain why the same problems are experienced in other nations, which are not governed by the US.
Meanwhile: adjusted for inflation, gas prices have been under the average for several years. The current adjustment is only catching up. The real problem isn't the government (although there is always something to complain about there!) — it's the ghastly rise of real estate, driving up the cost of everything else via taxes, cost-of-living, and the merciless rule of supply-and-demand.
Last year we had oil tankers moored off shore because there was no demand for it and storage was full. If I remeber correctly, a barrel of oil was trading for -$40 a barrel. I bought whole hogs last year for 90 a hog. It's all about supply and demand.

Gas and diesel is high now because we have a government that hates oil, has done away with full in-dependency in energy that we had under Trump, you get what you vote for, so pay the price and grieve, less supply simply means higher cost, it's Econ' 101 speaking.
