From Variety – Shia LaBeouf Denies He Was Fired From Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’: ‘I Quit Your Film’ Shia LaBeouf has come forward to dispute the assertion that he was fired from “Don’t Worry Darling” by director Olivia Wilde just as production was starting in 2020.
LaBeouf asserts that he chose to leave the production because he didn’t feel the actors were given adequate time to rehearse. In the Aug. 24 cover story with Variety, Wilde opened up for the first time about LaBeouf’s departure from her film.

I like that he states that he has made mistakes. However. he also doesn't want his daughter seen in a negative light. I love that he cares about the now that may hurt his daughter's future in her dad's eyes. I think this was a very fact driven and personal letter. This shows me that he is not being vindictive but he has made mistakes and working on him as well as keeping a healthy family. He wants her to tell the truth because that may hurt his livelihood for his family. I hope she takes the high road and have an apologetic talk with Shia
