About The Jimmy Dore Show:
#TheJimmyDoreShow is a hilarious and irreverent take on news, politics and culture featuring Jimmy Dore, a professional stand up comedian, author and podcaster. The show is also broadcast on Pacifica Radio Network stations throughout the country.

Written by The Jimmy Dore Show

THE JIMMY DORE SHOW is a comedy lifeline for people on the left and right (but definitely NOT the center) who are sick of bought politicians and gaslighting corporate journalists manufacturing consent for wars.

Comments

  1. A brief history of unions: during the late 19th-early 20th century, a decades long campaign that began in England with people like the Tolpuddle Martyrs, and drove through working-class culture via popular books by Edward Bellamy and Ignatius Donnelly, finally achieved success in mobilising workers. For the next 50 years it delivered working people an increasingly better standard of living. Then came Thatcher and Reagan who promptly wound it all back. The working people paid too much attention to the MSM and walked away from their unions, straight back into the 19th century. They only have themselves to blame. Their apathy and lack of appreciation of their own history undid the struggles of their forbears. Now that fight will have to be fought again.

  2. The productivity canard about pay following production was another method of worker disenfranchisement. Management's response to unionized workforce was to pretend that the more productive a worker was, naturally, that worker would earn more. Union's pride themselves on the one pay scale for the professional worker, not a sliding scale as that would breed animosity.

  3. In America, there is always someone lower than you. It's that way by design. Want fair pay and benefits for the value you add? They'll just bring in someone lower than you to do the work.

  4. This looks a lot like the greyhound bus strike back in the 80s, I wonder if this is being pushed on us by the KGB to make us hate each other too…

  5. BlackRock is also the same assholes that are buying up entire new communities, so people can't own homes, while trying to develop a continual rental community.

  6. Who the fuck would work for BlackRock? Or McDonald's? Or any of these government subsidized corporations?
Here's an idea, quit and go work for their competitors.
