Cases, 524

Anyone can get monkeypox,

particularly if you have had close contact, including sexual contact, with an individual with symptoms.

Contact followed by rash with blisters

Sudden and unexpected number of cases, previous silent spread

Currently most cases have been in men who are gay, bisexual or have sex with men.

How common is lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB)

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/culturalidentity/sexuality/bulletins/sexualidentityuk/2019

UK population aged 16 years and

2.7% of the UK population aged 16 years and over identified as lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB) in 2019

(2.2% in 2018)

Between 2018 and 2019

Men identifying as GB increased from 2.5% to 2.9%

Women identifying as LB increased from 2.0% to 2.5%

Monkeypox is being transmitted in geographically diffuse sexual networks.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/monkeypox-outbreak-technical-briefings

Nearly all (98%) of interviewed cases reported sex with other men during the incubation period (5 to 21 days)

Level 1
Incursions from rest of the world – small numbers of imported cases with limited onward transmission.

Level 2
Transmission within a defined sub-population with high number of close contacts.

Level 3
Transmission within multiple sub-populations or larger sub-population.

Level 4
Wider significant community transmission – with potential for endemic and local epi-zoonotic disease.

Detailed case interviews, traditional contact tracing is currently challenging,

identify transmission networks

Serial interval, 9.8 days (95% credible interval, 5.9 to 21.4)

(Interval between clinical onsets)

The mutations specific to the current global outbreak clade are distributed across the genome.

There is a small subset of mutations in proteins that are involved in virus transmission, virulence, or interaction with antiviral drugs.

UKHSA has convened an expert group of public health, NHS and academic partners to steer a comprehensive investigation.

Prof David Heymann, infectious disease

UK decision, concern transmission is occurring outside most at-risk groups

So far, gay, bisexual men

Latest outbreak driven by sexual networks

It suggests that they want to focus surveillance on the entire population – not only on the risk groups identified so far

Prof Francois Balloux, University College London Genetics Institute

More infections than cases

This is particularly the case for a disease which can often be mild with fairly unspecific symptoms such as monkeypox.

It is difficult to work out at the moment whether cases are going up, down or plateauing worldwide … but this is not a ‘Covid-level’ health scare

  1. I said Covid came from a lab at the start and was right and I have no doubt this is also lab modified surely you all noticed the similarities with the start of the covid pandemic after that was intentionally released

  2. My mate who vowed to never have the vaccine succumbed as he wanted to go on holiday. He now has really bad shingles. If people think that’s mere coincidence then they are ridiculously delusional🤦🏻‍♂️

  3. Ah! If only we had let nature take care of things 2000 years ago, we would have a very healthy world wide population without the need of any medicines or any vaccines!

  4. Grindr is a location-based social networking and online dating application for gay, bi, trans, and queer people, and men who have sex with men. It was one of the first geosocial apps for gay men when it launched in March 2009 and has since become the largest and most popular gay mobile app in the world. Wikipedia

  5. The only one i heard from ist Mr. BILL Gates who almost in all TV shows and Interview forecasting new virus and he always warn us for a more dangerous version of something

  6. Let’s just say it like it is, this was placed inside of the vaccines, don’t trust anyone that has millions of subscribers people, open your eyes and see the truth this man is deceiving you.
If you don’t know Jesus Christ, I asked that you bow your head and say the sinner‘s prayer, as him to forgive you for your sins, state that you believe that he died on the cross for the sin of man, repent your sinful life and live with the hope of salvation, live your life every day walking with him, he loves all of his creation. In the heavenly father‘s name amen

  7. So… when did the US also send monkey pox to Wuhan? We already know SARs was sent there right before the pandemic. But we aren't supposed to discuss that… how is that Ukraine scandal going so far? Are we up to 3 trillion dollars yet?

  8. Nice video!! Very engaging from beginning to end. Nevertheless, businesses and investment are the easiest way to make money. When it comes to the world of investing, most people don't know where to start.fortunately, great investors of the past and present can provide us with guidance

  9. 🦧Why no tell people dr knows everything
That people who had astra zeneca vaccine will get monkey pox ? As this vaccine was made from chimpanzees poop virus ? So monkey pox it relate to chimpanzees?
Why not explain those informations ?
People pls check this you self on goggle about the relations of astra Zeneca vaccine and monkey pox🐒
And how the AZ vaccine was made of

  10. Virus are kept for decade in lab then used when needed to infect the world
Not listen to this fake doctor who suppose to explain those detail about virus and there are no secrete their are all over the web side and medical book of pass history prior 1900 century
Most of the vaccine are made from animal virus , mouse ,pig monkey , then kept in lab to use later as well in flu 🤧 vaccine animal virus are Been use

  11. No urgency to panic. BUUUUT.
What happens if an individual catches both COVID & MonkeyPox at the same time? Would the 2 viruses mutate together? Would they mutate separately, at the same time, as 2 different viruses ? It’s not worrisome yet, but the thought of combined virus is real. Imagine… it has the symptoms & effects of Monkeypox, but with the transmissibility & longevity of a Covid variant…

  12. Strange how HIV was a prominent topic of conversation in a recent TV show, before Monkeypox was a thing…so sick of this garbage. If people don't smell a rat right about now, then there's no hope for humanity.

  13. Pretty simple I think, I would bet money it’s only vaccinated getting it. Kind of odd the “new variant” is only hitting the highest vaccinated countries.

  14. 12:50
Unnaturally fast evolution is not the only explanation for different strains appearing all at once.
Suppose somebody stole a case containing all mutations that already occurred, either naturally or unnaturally. Then released them incrementally?

We must acquire the truth from China and Lebanon!

  15. ''Where gender information was available, 311 (99% of 314) confirmed cases were male, with 3 confirmed female cases. The median age of confirmed cases in the UK was 38 years old (interquartile range 32 to 44).One hundred and fifty-two cases participated in more detailed questionnaires, implemented from 26 May 2022, and used retrospectively. In this data, 151 of the 152 men interviewed identified as gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM), or reported same sex contact, and the remaining individual declined to disclose this information. Recent foreign travel, within 21 days prior to symptom onset, was reported by 75 cases (22%), with 59 of these reporting travel within Europe''..

  16. Sexual networks – maybe the demographic that attends raves, the demo that frequents gay bars, the demo that uses a specific gym, the demo that goes on Tinder dates, and so on?

  17. Yes I see where their going with this virus version(?) another means to divide the community/s giving more control' to the minority.
Beware who you give your power away to
    Love you EVERYONE

  18. International sexual networks? Reeks of nefarious conspiracy theories. Ohhhh and somehow UK papers are more readable than American one (CDC)???? Nasty chauvinism.
Afraid that this will spread to the common folk, and just not to all those queers and perverts? End what are those new clinical symptoms? Tell. Us.
    pleeeease!
This thing can affect even unborn babies and he’s at 4-6 out of 10 on the worry scale. Big mistake I think.
I am urging every country in the world to take all mothballed stocks of smallpox vaccine out of storage and quickly ramp up production of new doses and immediately begin vaccinating everyone within their borders, who is younger than 43 (born later than 1979).
Why? We cannot afford to mess around with these pox viruses. Clear and present danger.
If we don’t do this we will have to go through another “pox” eradication program identical or even worse than, and definitely more expensive than the global smallpox eradication campaign that achieved full eradication of the disease globally by the end of the 1970s. That would be such a waste in about every aspect thinkable. Even IF the possibility that this strain of monkey pox virus was created or altered in the Wuhan or other lab and EVEN IF this possibility is statistically very low, can we afford to simply go along blissfully unaware that a potentially truly virulent viral pandemic may be brewing right under our noses? I think not. As I am the parent of an unvaccinated 42 year old, I say with all seriousness possible, let the vaccinations begin.

  19. You know how before covid19 PLANDEMIC they did a "demo version" of what if covid19 pandemic was to happen and then 2019 came!
Well last year they did a demo of what if monkey pox spread across the world. The results were from may 2022 to June there would be 1421 cases and 4 deaths
January 10.2023 70 million cases 1.3 million deaths.
January 10.2023 480 million cases 27 million deaths.
December 01.2023/ 3.2 billion cases 270 million deaths.
I just hope that this doesn't happen, but I'm not so confident that this was just a demo prediction.
