I am an ADA specialist in higher education. EVERYONE should be aware of their ADA rights. File a complaint of discrimination with the OCR (Office for Civil Rights). This is the enforcement arm of the federal mandate. The online form is easy to complete and submit and an attorney from the OCR will contact you for a follow-up to your complaint. This is a gross power-grab of epic scale. RESIST.
People with asthma are high risk. Way more apt to die from Covid. The masks are to prevent others getting it. So it makes no sense for healthy people to freak out over the frail or elderly not wearing masks. Unless–of course–they don't care if Grandma dies of oxygen deprivation.

This woman may have grounds to sue. I've heard that there are medical-related issues that make it difficult for people to wear a mask so I practice social distancing in addition to wearing a mask.
I'm blaming everyone on social media who made shitting on "Karens" who don't wear masks for this. Anytime you justify dehumanizing someone it makes it easy for people to justify this kind of treatment.

I'm sorry, but she physically resisted the lawful commands of a police officer. The rightness or wrongness of the law is a separate issue (I agree it's wrong).
I live at a college dorm and we have an outdoor pool. It's literally a rule that you Must wear a mask unless actively submerged underwater like wuuuttt… ?♂️?

I’m against the mask as well.People are so closed off because of fear.A friend of mine who lives in Cali considers himself a death risk from Coronavirus because he has Hypertension. I tried to convince him that he is not at risk because he has his blood pressure under control. Someone who dies from Coronavirus because of underlying Hypertension is likely to be suffering from Cardiomyopathy and possibly Renal Failure or some other accompanying issue. Regarding the cop,tasing her for a fucking mask ? He should have just spoken to her.This idiot needs to be fired and she should sue him as well as the police dept for this.

The mask mandates are a form of medical tyranny: the government is unilaterally mandating a *medical device (a mask) be worn on your person, or you can be deprived of normal public access others enjoy. We wonder how we get to the Biblical “no man can buy or sell except he wear the mark…” (this isn’t the mark, but it’s mirroring what’s going on) How did a virus turn into “can’t sing at church/temple?” “Can’t gather” “can’t have funerals”? We literally have quarantine camps in Ohio, and Gov DeWine gets on the tv mocking those who actually read the order. Nothing about “voluntary”, nothing about reimbursement for “hotels”. Vague, tyrannical wording. These mandates are in many states. I didn’t know the source document from a government website was a crazy rumor mill!
Last week I dared to attend a Christian outdoor worship gathering in Cleveland. The police literally blocked the freeway so we could not access parking & told us the park was closed due to health & safety concerns. When we pulled around to the park via the neighborhood , the other officers told us the park wasn’t closed, that we were allowed to gather. We had to walk 3 miles & they made a huge parking mess for the surrounding residents. They then warned us that our vehicles would be towed if we didn’t park correctly. I called the park the next day & they admitted they did it just so we couldn’t gather. If it was about health & safety, why did they let us gather? Because they knew it was wrong & they did everything they could to harass & deter us from coming. I spoke to 4 officers at the park & point blank asked why they were discouraging a religious assembly? “Oh no!” They’ll swear you & down it’s not….but it is. And then 3 very nice unmasked policemen told me that we should be wearing masks. ?
An hour ago I got screamed at for not wearing a mask OUTSIDE on a path next to the ocean ( I live in southern Maine ) The path owned by the town says “ masks are required “ I doubt the legality .
Regardless of whether you agree with a particular law or not, don't resist arrest. Do what they want and sort it out at the station.
