(OUTDATED, READ DESCRIPTION) How does Coronavirus compare to Ebola, SARS, etc?

UPDATE VIDEO HERE (March 19, 2020): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4no04822NQ

IMPORTANT EDIT: When I made this video, there had only been only one death outside China, and the rate of new cases was slowing down. Now (March 11th) there are 4,500 deaths (3K in China), and the rates are speeding up.
That’s why in this video, I had tried to convey that the epidemic was nothing to panic over. However, given that this is now a pandemic, I would STILL say not to panic, but I would no longer claim “COVID-19 kills less people than the generic flu so it’s no big deal” (as I had in this video). The current trends suggest COVID-19 is still growing exponentially, so it’s important to take actions (don’t go to large gatherings, etc. You know them all already.) that can slow the spread of the disease. We gotta make sure health care services don’t get overwhelmed, especially now that this is a big concern for at least a dozen countries. – Cary

Want to know how I made the visualization? I used Processing (https://processing.org/)! I wrote my own original code in Java to create each of the three visualizations.

  1. Comparison: Day 209
    Date: 26-07-2020
    INCREMENTAL
    Cumulative cases:
    COVID-19: 16.2 million
2009 H1N1: over 6.7 million (based on wikipedia estimate before countries stopped counting)
    Cumulative deaths:
    COVID-19: Over 648K dead
    2009 H1N1: 18,449 dead according to CDC
    ESTIMATES!
    Estimated cases:
COVID-19: 186 million to 324 million (third most contagious pandemic ever after Spanish Flu)
2009 H1N1: 700 million to 1.4 billion (Probably most contagious pandemic ever)
    Estimated deaths:
COVID-19: 897K to 1.59M deaths, depending on countries
    2009 H1N1: 295K deaths by CDC (151K – 575K)

Coronavirus pandemic throughout the course of almost eight months has become the most impactful pandemic aswell as third largest pandemic in history of humanity. We still are trying to unveil the true secrets that governments don't simply tell to us! For now, its just us and the government being radioactive to us all day!

  2. July 29, 2020 – Average deaths per day – 5000. This puts Covid 19 in the forth place comparing to other death causes. + It's assuming, that we know the accurate death toll. We all know it's a lot higher in the first world countries. Not talking about Brazil, India, South Africa.

  4. 222 days
    Corona virus cases:19,555,663
    Corona virus deaths: 725,153
    Swine flu cases: 17,490,728
    Swine flu deaths: 84,600

    Crazy ngl

  5. DAY 228
    Swine Flu cases: ~19,000,000
    Swine Flu deaths: ~60,000
    COVID-19 cases: ~21,000,000
    COVID-19 deaths: ~750,000

Estimated numbers by 2 years (that's around 700 days)
    Swine Flu cases: ~60,000,000
    Swine Flu deaths: ~300,000
    COVID-19 cases:
    ~1,750,000,000 to 2,000,000,000
    COVID-19 deaths: ~70,000,000 to 80,000,000

In comparison to my prediction by 2 years, COVID-19 is around 31 times more infectious and 250 times deadlier than Swine Flu. I did these COVID-19 future projections by analyzing its average daily cases and its deaths by its fatality (~4%).

If my prediction by 2 years were to happen, it would happen that COVID-19 will be the top 1 most contagious pandemics ever and it will be the first pandemic to infect more than 1 billion people. While, COVID-19 will be the third deadliest pandemics throughout the history with 70
million deaths, with Black Death being the second with 200 million deaths and Smallpox being the first with 300 million to 500 million deaths.

[Note: These are just predictions, they may or may not happen.]

Stay safe, wash your hands ??.

Coronavirus pandemic throughout the course of almost nine months has become the most impactful pandemic aswell as third largest pandemic in history of humanity. Everyone ignored the warnings.

  8. Imagine the parties that would occur if MERS mutated into a much more infectious version because MERS itself could not infect enough people to become an epidemic since it was not very communicable like SARS or SARS-COV-2.
