Reva Lightsaber FAILS to Crowdfund! Star Wars Fans DON’T Want It!

Reva’s lightsaber failed to crowdfund on the Haslab website, the second high-profile Star Wars misfire (the first being the Black Series Rancor.) Clearly Star Wars fans just weren’t clamoring for this Obi-Wan keepsake.

  1. Idk if you guys knew this and normally I'd wait until the end of the video to comment. The reason for the Rancor not funding was yes it was expensive BUT the tiers they were offering actually caused ppl to retract their support. I know added bonuses for exceeding a goal should just be icing on the cake but they gave supporters a cardboard backdrop, followed by some bones if I'm not mistaken. Contrast that with Marvel legends Sentinel previously for $250-300 (I can't remember) they gave you 2 figures, originally one tentacle but seeing as ppl expected 2 they gave you the tentacle for the other hand, 3 different heads, swappable battle damage parts, and the figure would light up, aside from being 24-28" tall. The perceived value for exceeding the goals set for supporting the project made that money spent worth it. Same with Galactus, G.I. Joe's skystriker(I think that was last years), and even the proton pack from this past December. This is the 2nd haslab from star wars to fail.

  2. I did not like her character at all and felt her actor was awful as well. To me it truly felt like Disney tossed in a POC to toss in a POC. No depth, no reason, no nothing, just hey look a brown person you white folks appeased now? Just dumb. I also want to know what they're trying to prove anyway by having all the bad guys being POC? Hmm…Disney you're not helping. I threw my hands up with that company when I left working for them in 2007. Nothing but trash and they're getting worse every second of the day. Too bad they won't fully crash and burn like I would hope.

  3. The crowdfunded Haslab Spengler (Ghostbusters: Afterlife) proton pack made its goal long before the campaign ended.
Not only that, but it tripled it's minimum number to go into full production.

  4. The reason the Rancor wasn't funded was that initially, there were 4 unrevealed stretch goals. People were anticipating these goals and funding the project. When the goals were revealed, they were very underwhelming, causing people to not want to support the project. If you look at videos from the black series community, you'll see this general sentiment echoed that what the Rancor needed to succeed was better stretch goals.

  5. 3:31 I have the Master Replicas Darth Maul lightsaber that's just as long and I have it on my wall in my hobby room, so I would have room for this one. I just have zero interest in it. Honestly, I don't like the design of the Inquisitor sabers in the first place, but even if I did I'm not giving Disney anymore of my money.

  6. The rancor is not very interesting; it's not an important part of the series, it's just another random monster. Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Darth Vader, Yoda, Boba Fett, X-wings, TIE fighters, or the death star would get funded in no time. Those are iconic elements of the franchise.

  7. One of the reasons the rancor fell through was the stretch goals, one of which was literally a cardboard background. For $350 fans wanted a new character mold specifically Oola. It probably would been funded if Hasbro hadn't been so cheap.

  8. this is not reevas lightsaber FFS, this was taken from the jedi fallen order sisters, thats where we first saw the design of this thing, all / most of the hunters / sisters carry one just like it, its not HERS….and im glad this failed…wait does that mean im racist?

  9. One of the most loved characters is Ahsoka who is played by a Black woman so I dont want to hear s.h.i.t. from SW or the Reva actress about a few idiots that made racist comments.
