Russiagate is right wing, the natural left position is to oppose it. Materially it supports and hemorrhages power, while diverting away from conservative-liberalisms and it's socio-economic system's failures. Had Bernie won in 2016, they would have retooled the Steel dossier against him too. The truth of RussiaGate is that its a repainted MacCarthyism, the political side of it is used against communists as well. The slipups in regards to "the Soviets" when they mean "the Russians", the heavy emphasis on "the Kremlin" or the usage of "Comrade" as a pejorative of people who are claimed, without evidence, to be "bots". The latter being a clear dog whistle of anti-communism of the speaker. These are all hallmarks of the Russiagate spewer, but antagonisms to buttress power and military, to divert away from the failure of the market system right now and it's state handlers, and indeed the failure of bourgeois-elite democracy, is a RIGHT WING TALKING POINT. It always has been, and always will be.
It, like MacCarthyism, plays upon xenophobic and nativist tendencies to attack a historically marganalized group of people in the US (Slavs) and it plays upon the far-right cold war culture boomers were brainwashed with. The function it serves is to 1. Heighten jingoism against assigned enemies like Russia and now China, and 2. Divert and obfuscate system and ruling class/elite's crimes and subversive nature. – Even if Russiagate was true, which it is not, this is the effect and indeed the intent of their sperging about the issue, it would still be far-right to the degree it is used.
CHANGE IS COMING. CHANGE IS HAPPENING. INFORMATION WANTS TO BE FREE. SOCIAL MEDIA IS THE PSYCHEDELIC OF THE DIGITAL AGE.
