Respect for the intellectual honesty found here, but sometimes I pick up on infatuation with pure socialism in contrast to crony capitalism. Capitalism declines into mini-oligarchies unkind to workers and entrepreneurs – and militaristic. Socialism declines into militaristic quasi-monarchies that take revolution to overthrow. Yugoslavian socialism was the epitome of the "Benevolent Dictator" in Josef Tito. Romania, Soviet Russia, North Korea and China got the Caligula model and millions died.
Is there a "system" that works or does it always boil down to enlightened benevolent leadership vs grasping sadistic abuse of power?

So Serbs didn't start the war in Yugoslavia? Committed atrocities against unarmed civilians and ethic cleansing in Krajina, Slavonia and Bosnia? Bombed the hell out of Sarajevo, Vukovar, Dubrovnik? Milosevic was not a war criminal but commited antiglobalist (who was highest representative of largest Yu bank in USA in eighties) and fought for Yugoslav cause and not Great Serbia (plan to annex parts of Bosnia and Croatia)? Operation Storm wasn't an answer to Serbian crimes and liberation of Croatian territory but deliberate ethnic cleansing even though most of Serbs left the area days before operation even started? And the exodus wasn't agreed by Milosevic and Tudjman?

Alexander "Z" Mercouries and Alex "Z" Christophorou cheap Russian propagandists join the forces with cheap Serbian propagandist Boris Malagurski in support of Orthodox Russian/Serbian "Z" wars. This Russian/Serbian fascism needs to be stopped, and it's simple as that. Serbs and Russians are suffering from very similar virus that Nazis did in 1930s/1940s. Serbia now is like Nazi Germany in 1940s minus Hitler. Their fascism is not defeated yet. They are even rewarded to almost half of Bosnia they ethnically cleansed, and now proudly calling Republic of Srpska. Putin is proving more and more to be unhinged. But, for our "Z" pro-Russian the Duran propagandists he is their hero, but USA is bad. You belong to Hall of Shame, and you are on the wrong side of history. Glory to Ukraine, and God bless America.

Great discussion from the guys from The Duran with the very urbane Boris Malagurski. I'm Croatian but born and raised in Australia. I remember the Serbo-Croat War of the nineties like it was yesterday. The sense of shock when the bullets started flying to the bombing of non-military targets like Vukovar and Dubrovnik. We need to have a sense of perspective, the Serbs did have all the Yugoslav Army and they were utterly ruthless and successful. They captured 30% of Croatia and 70% of Bosnia while the West twiddled their thumbs. Anyway, us Croatians see Operation Storm differently. For me, it meant the end of 100 years of Serb torment. From the first Yugoslavia, the assassination of Stjepan Radic, right until Slobodan Milosevic. Because Croatia was never independent, millions of Croats migrated around the world instead of building their own country. Thanks to Greater Serb pretensions, we lost a hundred years of democratic development plus millions of souls. Never again. We can be neighbours but nothing more than that. As for future generations, for the first in a milenia, Croatia is raising Croats and not "Yugoslavs". We are raising patriots who are not going to get on the first boat and leave. There is plenty to do at home. For example, building bridges and highways as well as looking after millions of tourists.

i guess I must have been really nieve…spent te last five years or so trying to follow my dad through Europe in 44 – 45…so I was shcked to hear Putin speak of Na…ism in Ukraine , not understanding what the hell was he on about …but then to see t he swastika openly flown – tattoos , . summer camps on & on . And from this single show to realise it never went away & has even been fed & nurtured …& will rise agin. My Dad burying his mates in 44 ..what was that ALL for….
