I really like you videos and the topics you cover. Do you plan on looking at what New York plans to put into law in addressing the recent Supreme Court striking down New York's archaic laws against legal conceal carry (aka, the Sullivan Laws)? I read it as a slap against the SCOTUS decision.

Administrative agencies are awful for personal freedom and I like this ruling.
The USA exports all hazardous work and imports hazardous materials and rare earth minerals. Essentially we allow other countries to harm and pollute the earth for our benefit and claim we are "green"!
This is goofy. In Ryan’s world we turn agencies loose to achieve goals. That is not how our government works. Congress passes laws pursuant to the powers of the Federal government enumerated in the Constitution. Yes, Ryan, they must write new laws. Deal with it.
The Fed is a private bank and it is much much much more powerful than the SCOTUS.
The really beautifully nice thing about Rising is that you have very intelligent people speaking civilly even in disagreement about very contentious issues.
Madison is the one who wrote the Constitution, I'll have to go back and check but I don't think Hamilton wrote any of it, so between Madison and Hamilton it seems very clear who would know better

As to the EPA ruling, I think Ryan is using this really straining credulity to classify CO2 as an air pollutant, and it's not clear at all that Congress intended it to be classified as such when these laws were passed. In general, if govt agencies are allowed to insert their own judgment in the absence of congressional direction, then that is completely tyrannical and anti-democratic, which is something the left doesn't want to grapple with. If the EPA can decide national energy policy without express permission, then can DHS decide immigration policy? This belief in the technocratic, altruistic administrative state is quite baffling given the track record of many of these agencies.

While experts are important for making recommendations, they're the last people that should have the final word on matters of public interest because they have absolutely no skin in the game and they don't have enough incentive not to cause harm. Experts can't be relied on to get things right and there's no recourse for people injured by they're bad policies because there's too much protectionism in place where "experts" cannot be criticized even when it's clear that they're wrong.
There's no accountability because they're non-elected government officials who cannot admit when they're wrong, who don't know how to balance competing public interests, who cannot be fired, and who have zero knowledge or care for things like legality, constitutionality, or morality.
