My brother once worked with an Indian man who expressed irritation at the promotion of Irish national sports in Ireland, as it left little room for his people to compete in cricket for Ireland. It did not occur to him til my brother pointed it out that this country doesn't exist primarily for his cultural needs. He actually took it well (he was Christian, don't know if that might be significant), but the fact it doesn't even occur to more well-meaning among bodes poorly for us.

Can someone explain how diversity means brown/brown/brown? Yet any colour other than brown in that mix isn't diverse? It's as confusing as minority being the 98% of planet Earth but the 2% is the 'majority'.
