The Rise Of Totalitarianism In America | Jordan Peterson & Other Canceled Professors

Free Speech & Safe Spaces

In part 1 out of 4 of this compilation series, we look at excerpts from the Maps of Meaning lecture series as well as how issues around free speech have affected Bret Weinstein, Heather Heying, Yeon Mi Park, Arif Ahmed, Dennis Prager, Rima Azar, James Orr, and Paul Rossi.

This ties to Dr. Peterson’s recent lecture at Cambridge, which he titled Why Free Speech Is the Antidote to Our Problems. In keeping with that motif, we hope this compilation inspires you to speak the truth and protect our most fundamental rights as sovereign individuals.

Why Free Speech Is the Antidote to Our Problems:

[0:00] Bret Weinstein: the Evergreen incident
[14:34] Paul Rossi: teaching at Grace Church
[21:07:] Dr. Rima Azar: blogs of Canada
[35:41] Dennis Prager & Adam Carolla: No Safe Spaces
[46:32] Arif Ahmed & James Orr: the shifting policy landscape

Written by Jordan B Peterson

Dr. Jordan B Peterson is a professor and clinical psychologist. The videos are derived from two sources: 1. His UToronto courses Maps of Meaning (which describes how values, including beliefs about good and evil, regulate emotion and motivation); and Personality & Its Transformations (which describes psychological theories from Eliade, Jung, Freud, Rogers, Gray, Luria, Sokolov, Vinogradova, Panksepp, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, and Solzhenitsyn as well as psychometric models such as the Big Five). 2. His public lectures on topics of general psychological relevance, including the meaning of music, the significance of hero mythology, and the structure of the world as represented in religion.

  1. I can tell you where this leads… At some point a small group will go after these Woke people and their leaders. And they will cause them so much harm. And since these Woke people have went after the normal people so much. The normal people will not say anything. This is how wars start and are fought. As you only need 1% too do the fighting. The other 99% support them from a distance. As it will benefit them. When they conquer the small group of tyrants…

  2. Our dear leader is celebrating Earth Day 4-22-22 at Evergreen College campus. Our Dystopian Governor Inlsee must be drooling for this opportunity to hard sell his vision of climate change to our nation.

  3. Without reading Historian Dr. David Jacob's book, "Walking Among Us" nothing makes sense.
His work has been neglected by Academia.
Of course you are floundering around, trying to make sense of what's going on.
Your homework, Professors, is to read the bloody thing with an open mind.
    (This will test you out!)
Jacobs, David "Walking Among Us", kindle, narrated and in book form.

  4. If you see the blue-haired , gender-bending woke-ists as a big threat, you need to come out here in Trump country. Come out here and see what 'toxic masculinity' looks like. Whine about 'gender sensitivity' meetings while MILLIONS of Americans already believe that either the vote is rigged or a free vote isn't necessary. Where the next Timothy McViegh preps for a new target.

  5. In 1949, Huxley wrote Orwell a letter:

"Within the next generation I believe that the world's rulers will discover that infant conditioning and narco-hypnosis are more efficient, as instruments of government, than clubs and prisons, and that the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude and kicking them into obedience. In other words, I feel that the nightmare of Nineteen Eighty-Four is destined to modulate into the nightmare of a world having more resemblance to that which I imagined in Brave New World."

I think Huxley had it backwards. His Brave New World (infant conditioning and narco hypnosis in the form of climate alarmism, CRT, gender ideology) is alive and well and is modulating into Orwell's 1984 (it's not a big leap from people getting canceled and losing their jobs/livelihood to incarceration/punishment by the state).

  6. Maoist college president. Olympia used to be beautiful and now it has homeless encampments and trashy old motorhomes from one end to the other. I have 3 years before I retire and move out of Puget Sound for sunny Florida! If you're enrolled at Evergreen you need to quit and enroll in Prager U!

  7. Sounds like gang violence or terrorist cells have gained power but no one can take a stand because they have minority privileges. People should learn more history instead of a selected piece and pretend it is definitive of everything. You can narrow anything down and exclude all facts that do not fit the narrative and come to any conclusion you choose. Especially if you can forbid others from talking about those other facts.

  8. Its not totalitarianism, its fascism. Fascism runs the world now. Not communism, socialism, capitalism, democracy, or any other ism. Its all fascism. Join together as humans and fight fascism ALL together, or its over.

  9. The ideal school would be one that is:
    • Inward and outward with their goals/thoughts/visions/actions
    • Sense what is going on, and rely on intuition.
    • Feels for the teachers and students and other people, and invite thinkers in order to thrive
    • High perception of the things going on, and the ability to make solid judgements on anything.

  10. An excerpt from Tao Te Ching that applies here:

    The beginning of the universe

Is the mother of all things.

Knowing the mother, one also knows the sons.

Knowing the sons, yet remaining in touch with the mother,

Brings freedom from the fear of death.

    Keep your mouth shut,

    Guard the senses,

    And life is ever full.

    Open your mouth,

    Always be busy,

    And life is beyond hope.

    Seeing the small is insight;

    Yielding to force is strength.

Using the outer light, return to insight,

And in this way be saved from harm.

    This is learning constancy.

  11. Having been affiliated with universities my entire adult life, 1985-present, the erosion of true academic free exchange of ideas is alarming. Notre Dame is one of the worst they take it one step further and repress free exchange if traditional Catholic thinking and scholarship.

Lets not forget that Netflix did NOT have a problem with streaming the film "Cuties".
If you dont know what film that is i'll save you the trouble of looking it up, because you DON'T want that on search history. Basically it's a film starring ~5 preteens who dances, which then progresses further into… well p*rn basically. The preteens dances sensually, (such as twerking etc.) and eventually tits are flashed aswell. Yep, preteens tits on the screen. It's probably not something you want to search for. So thank me later. Anyway that is Netflix, ladies and gentlemen.
    No problem streaming that…

  13. The thing that strikes me, Dr. P, is that you remark that Solzhenitsyn says that a people's willingness to lie is what enables atrocities, but there's an obverse: your lies make what is right undefendable.

All your liberalism rests on violence. Your right to free speech, etc. was never the product of mass cooperation. It came from the muzzle of a gun. It always has. You folks, you forgot that; you assumed that violence is never the solution when violence is always the solution, but superior violence enabled you to use reason.

    Violence is the solution.

  14. I live in a liberal state, and have lost all my friends by just speaking the truth of what is happening. People ive known most of my life. What is happening culturally, is absolutely jarring

  15. It has become apparent that the vast majority of University and related people are turd stupid? Know a lot about a little and nothing about the World at large maybe?… Well one would hope they have at least something they can claim to be able to teach…

  16. Being hunted by a mob armed with weapons……………nothing says failed society better than that. If your not "extremists" enough, then the extremists will declare you to be the enemy, right out the Bolshevik or Islamic state playbook of evil.

  17. The Rise Of Totalitarianism In America? and no talk on Trumpism on the panel, No Republican QAnon believers, No talk on insurrectionist who actually tried to cancel 400 years of American Democracy, No mention of Conservative/Right Wingers screaming "voter fraud" based on no proof of massive fraud and after loosing dozens of court battles all over the U.S.

No talks on a Totalitarian NETWORK (Fox News) constantly praising dictators and conducting there shows in anti democratic countries. No talk on the many election officials across the U.S who received death threats to them and there families, these people where actually fallowed around town (by fascist Totalitarian conservatives) had there pictures taken then texted back to them to show how close they could get to them and where made to leave there positions (jobs) thus those jobs going to fascist and anti democratic people who pledge not to the constitution but to one single person in the name of Trumpism.

No talk on people (PARENTS) who talked about bringing guns to school meetings, told school board members "We know where you live" in order to intimidate them into conforming to there beliefs.

No talk on Congressman telling the American people that he feels like killing other Americans . . . . based on a fake Totalitarianism style stolen election narrative. 3 years in and still can't offer any proof of said mass voter fraud.

This Discussion Mr Peterson on The Rise Of Totalitarianism In America is incomplete and so far inaccurate. Totalitarianism In America isn't Rising Dr Person, it's already here, in full swing, it used to be called the conservative party and they have already enacted laws to keep them in power for decades through so-called election integrity, extreme hateful fascist speech to there constituents, smearing people with "you're a pedophile and groomers" while having nothing to offer the 64% of the population who are living paycheck to paycheck and the estimated that 50 percent of all adults who have difficulty paying for a $400 emergency expense, and 19 percent of adults—one in five—not being able to pay the expense at all.

Again this discussion is dishonestly incomplete.

  18. It didn’t stop because you are explicitly expressing, with the greatest of accuracy, that which a large amount of the population implicitly understands.
