We went for herd immunity at first so a lock down after that would have met with a lot of resistance or been impossible to implement and enforce.

Janteloven is not a Swedish virtue, it is a made up law in a novel the (Danish born) Norwegian author Aksel Sandemose wrote in 1933 (A Fugitive Crosses His Tracks, in which the main character lives in a town with the made up name Jante). It is a condescending "law" intended to suppress; it says in short 'you shall not believe that you are something'. It exists in many countries (like for instance "tall poppy syndrome", and is dating back to well known philosophers like Socrates, his student Plato, and then his student Aristotle), and is according to many thinkers valid wherever humans have formed societies or congregations (some individuals can't stand that some shine more than themselves). According to this it definitely means not daring to show off, though.

Unfortunately, if Sweden is truly NOT having any excess deaths (although, it would be expected to be NEGATIVE after a pandemic) then if you believe that the vaccines are a major part of the deaths, you have to posit that either: their vaccines were different (not mrna?) or that their delivery method was safer (did they aspirate, and that is the issue, more than the vaccines themselves?).

I was proud and relieved to live in a country where they acctually stood against the push when the big USA and WHO (world hell organisaiton) tried to force this. Well done Sverige!
