Two of the Scariest Proposals Heard at the World Economic Forum in Davos | DM CLIPS | Rubin Report

Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks about the World Economic Forum in Davos, where J. Michael Evans promoted the idea of creating carbon footprint calculators so everyone’s carbon footprint can be tracked. Meanwhile, Julie Inman Grant, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, suggested that due to so much misinformation we may have to recalibrate our concept of freedom of speech. And Rebel News’ Avi Yemini got a chance to ask the New York Times’ Rebecca Blumenstein about the role of mainstream media in pushing the Davos agenda.

  1. Imagine how far removed from the violence in the world you need to be to talk about "online violence." That woman desperately needs a vacation in Yemen.

  2. Years ago I was working with a guy who thought of himslef as libertarian. Typically jobs I work on pay per diem. I told him that I despised working for companies – like the one we were working for – who required employees to turn in receipts for per diem (they only reimbursed for what you turned in up to their daily max). He went on about the whole "Its a privte comapny, they can do what they want" thing. I told him that, by requiring him to turn in receipts, the company knew everything that he ate – and everything else he bought on the same receipt. So what happens when the company decides they want to promote a "healthy eating" agenda? What if they want to impose restrictions on employee diet in order to combat health insurance costs?

He hadn't thought about that. And was promptly horrified at the idea. As he shold have been. This "carbon footprint" BS is the same thing on a much larger scale.

  3. The only reason that b*tch got her role as e safety commissioner here in Australia is because the previous scum we had as PM created an agency to combat online misinformation and bullying and picked her for the job because she’s been bullied online before so it hits close to home for her or some crap. We the people are not stupid! We did not vote for her nor did we ask for this criminal bureaucracy to dictate what we can and can’t say, think and do. These people are trying to control the narrative every and any way possible because they’re terrified knowing there’s a lot of us that aren’t buying what they’re selling. And yes Avi is an absolute legend and unofficial hero of journalism, we are fortunate to have people like Avi here in Australia and people like yourself David speaking the truth and deciphering the “information” that we are expected to accept and swallow.
