Overall the anti Russian sentiment has gone overboard. I'm talking about how ordinary Russians are punished. Being patriotic is completely normal yet it seems the world expects all Russians to actively condemn Putin and the Ukraine war. Many Russian athletes for example have been punished as a result of standing behind their country. For example the chess player Sergey Karjakin was banned from Chess since he expressed an opinion that the US ignited the war in Ukraine by being behind the coup and supporting nazi elements in Ukraine. Karjakin also said he stood behind his country.
Sure it's a different opinion that goes against the western narrative but why shouldn't he be allowed to have a different opinion that is controversial? Banning him from his job as a tournament chessplayer is crazy.
I'm guessing, Jimmy, that Noam doesn't return your emails now is that he was none too pleased with Mike's very accurate Stone Chomsky. Cuts too close.

Lighten up on Chomsky, he has probably done more in his life time to enlighten people in the West to the fact their own governments are usually the main aggressors in World events than any other single person…living or dead.

Wow. Not a good take from Aaron . If Chomsky was wrong he can easily come out and set the record straight in his own words. You are allowed to be wrong but I have not seen Chomsky distance himself from those remarks so the criticism still stands and I don't as per this analogy " I don't care if he is a priest for 50 years, he touches one kid the full.force of the mob should come down on him. You don't get a free pass" Chomsky wants me rounded up and millions of others like me..Aaron does not speak for me.. it's up to Chomsky to apologise and make amends , until then he is an authoritarian when it comes to what he wants and he wants it enforced by violence.
