Sadly, it appears that there is no good faith from the collective West towards Russia. Therefore, it seems Russia's course should be in strengthening alliances such as BRIX and other like-minded and economically directed countries. Move forward toward a new peace and prosperity independent of Western influrnce or interference. Russia's efforts toward peaceful relations have been rebuffed, maligned and ridiculed for years. "There comes a time when you have to stop crossing oceans for (those) who wouldn't jump puddles for you."

Regardless of the reasons behind Putin's relentless decision to bring Ukraine back into the Russian sphere of interest by force, and to expose the European continent to the greatest acts of war since World War II, the result is the same for us.

We must stop believing that Krem's strong man will be stopped by tacky Western condemnations and half-hearted economic sanctions. In the ruthless world of realpolitik, only raw power defines what is right and wrong, while restraint towards autocratic forces will always be considered a weakness, which will in any case hurt worse in the end. Repeated Western indulgence and restraint in the face of Russian aggression over several years, for example, has only encouraged Putin to become even bolder and go even further in his military adventures.

With a Putin who is apparently capable of doing anything to seize power and increase Russia's territory where he sees an opportunity, this is reminiscent of the darkest times in human history, and we must act now. We must stand up for what is right and set the limit where it belongs. Freedom-loving people around the world have no time to lose.

The former captain of the Russian national football team, Igor Denisov, has for the first time gone out against Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin's invasion war against Ukraine. He does this in an interview published on Youtube on Wednesday.

Several media outlets have covered the interview, including Politico.

Shortly after Putin went to war on February 24, new laws were introduced in Russia banning people from talking about the war in words and expressions other than the official Russian version, namely a "military special operation."

– These events are a disaster. Complete horror. I do not know… maybe I will be imprisoned or killed for these words, but I talk about it as it is, Denisov says according to Politico.

Denisov also says he is ready to "kneel" in front of Putin to get him to stop the war, adding that he no longer has any pride left.

Several Russian sports profiles have recently gone to war, and Denisov is so far the last and largest of the profiles to have done this, writes Politico.

No, I think this KIA figure is high. It simply doesn’t align with what we see & hear on the ground. After months of playing down casualty figures, Ukriane’s playing up a bit to show the West how dire the situation is, which isn’t necessary because real numbers are plenty awful.
