Well, businesses have been saying they're following govt advice for fear of… Well, something. Those mandates were in place from state premieres, among which there has been resignation due to corruption inquiry. More may yet come.

I guess I think a good start to ponder is to rethink the algorithm, and not have people chasing it in every aspect of their lives.
The algorithms appear to come in all the mediums that are anesthetizing to the pain of life, they all seem to come across on screens or communication devices.

Mandate is not law. It is a request that requires consent. Without consent it cannot be enforced. Any one person or institution that demands or tries to enforce a mandate without your consent, is committing a criminal act and acting unlawful. Russell, I don't know why you have put the focus on Biden here? The covid story is the same everywhere, such as here in N.Z. Our leader, Jacinda, was quite successful initially in unifying what she referred to as "the team of 5 million" against covid, but it is now wearing rather thin and protests are becoming more frequent and ugly. As I see it, compulsory vaccination is the best answer (assuming that the problem is as real as we are being led to believe!), but governments are shying away from that, but trying to achieve essentially the same result by way of "conditional mandates", e.g. you don't have to be vaccinated, but if you choose not to, then you will lose your job, etc. It would be far better just to get as many police as required to hold people down and jab them with the vaccine! That way, we wouldn't need to muck around with vaccine passes and society wouldn't be polarised into the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated, the latter denied many things we take for granted, like employment, access to hospitality, etc. It is an attempt to force people into doing what isn't actually made truly compulsory, and a vindictive reaction to those who don't comply. My view is that either (1) covid is serious enough to justify across the board compulsory vaccinations (not just conditional mandates); or (2) something else is going on, in terms of what governments are trying to do here. It is simple: if refusing to be vaccinated really does put the lives of other people at risk, then the govt. has every right to hold you down and jab you. A person does not have the right to decide for themselves on a matter that risks the lives of others … but does it really risk the lives of others to a significant extent, or is something else going on? I really don't know!

Watching this from New Zealand – I wonder what Russell's opinion is regarding Jacinda Arden and her communists background? Our dear leader is gleefully creating derision and separatism in our once free country – in less than 2 weeks as an unvaccinated person I will be unable to shop, attend events, go to a Cafe with friends , attend school events etc many others have lost their jobs because I choose not to be vaccinated – the media has been paid off by the government (55 million). The vaccinated still have to wear masks everywhere, sign in and social distance – and many of them are lapping it up! The vaccinated are terrified of catching this virus from the unvaccinated – many families/friendships are falling apart and all of this is encouraged by our government – JA partner even said grandchildren should be withheld from unvaccinated grandparents….
