Wall Street’s Sleazy Profiteering Off Of Ukraine War – Even Infuriates NBC Host

In a recent NBC News report, host Stephanie Ruhle reported, flabbergasted, on news that Wall Street financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase have been profiting off of the war in Ukraine, taking advantage of the economic distress across Russia to buy up low-priced assets in anticipation of big returns once the fighting subsides. Ruhle and NBC colleague Jonathan Allen debate whether Goldman Sachs is more accurately described as a vulture or a scorpion.

Jimmy and American comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the predictably mercenary war profiteering demonstrated by the Wall Street bloodsuckers.

THE JIMMY DORE SHOW is a comedy lifeline for people on the left and right (but definitely NOT the center) who are sick of bought politicians and gaslighting corporate journalists manufacturing consent for wars.

  1. We're not in bed with fascists. We ARE fascists. Corporate controlled media & elections, non-stop wars of aggression, mass surveillance, censorship… what does that sound like to you? We are the fourth reich.

  2. Exchanges like Fidelity have shut down buying but not selling of all Russian equities. You can sell but you cannot buy. Goldman Sachs can buy. So this is wealth transfer or opportunity transfer once again. Yes, the game is rigged af.

  3. "WAR is just a Racket. A Racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses." – USMC Major General Smedley Butler (1935)

  4. CNN can even get parables right it's the scorpion and the frog. A scorpion cannot sting a turtle through its shell.

The story goes the scorpion asked the frog to let him ride on his back across the river the frogs says no you will sting me and I will die.

Scorpion says no I won't If I Sting you we will both drowned.

So the frog agrees and gives the scorpion a ride in the middle of the river the scorpion stings the frog and just before he dies the frogs says why did you sting me we will both die now?

The scorpion said well I'm a scorpion it's in my nature you knew that when you let me ride on your back. And they both die because the frog was dumb enough to trust the scorpion. And the scorpion could not resist his natural instincts.

The moral of the story be careful who you trust.

  5. I'm not seeing how trading Russian debt (either govt or corp) from one US holder to another US holder benefits Russia. Russia benefitted back when the debt was orginated before the sanctions were put into place. After the debt was originated, Russia owes periodic payments to the debt holder. So if US debt holder A trades his Russian debt with US debt holder B using GS as the broker, how does that benefit Russia? Either way Russia is still obligated to make debt payments. Can anybody explain to me how Russia benefits?

  6. Remember: Its a big club…and you ain't in it. We call Russia's oligarchs "cronies". Want to bet many of those "cronies" are the same ones running our government? After all…why leave such a blatant loophole unless you are trying to protect your peers?

  7. I just wish people would stop saying…Illegally Invading Ukraine. Like….can you legally invade someone? I'm beginning to think that people don't understand the definition of invasion.
