  1. This is a problem of our own making. We demanded cheaper products, rewarded businesses who moved overseas and we've been feeling the pain of those choices since the pandemic began.

  2. If Biden/Harris wanted their poll numbers up they would do the daily press conferences Trump was doing early in the pandemic and instead focus on fixing the supply chain and jobs (getting people back to work).

  3. Golly gee Saagar this is just the era of a pandemic, and race leverage which helped YOU btw… and pulling out of a 20 year war. Just like Obama, Biden started with a huge DOWNTURN because of republicans. The only people who make sense are, at heart, progressive.

  4. Maybe this ultra materialistic instant gratification society needs to take a big step back and a deep breath and re-evaluate life’s meaning. Who gives a shit if Christmas presents don’t arrive on time ? Really ? How about being thankful you live in decent country. Maybe people need to get outside more and focus less on consumer obsessions. I’m happy people can’t buy cars right now – keep driving the one you have you have – and stop feeding the beast that is destroying the world – the United States is the number 1 emitter of greenhouse gasses in the world – because it’s citizens over-consume. Make more with less – high gas prices and natural gas prices may be a good equalizer.

  5. Take governor Ron DeSantis up on his offer a diver every ship in Long Beach Harbor right to Florida everything from Texas in the Midwest to the West Coast goes to the Texas port and I fucking around with California they’ve had their chance enough is enough

  6. Saagar is clearly having steak withdrawal. Steak withdrawal is a serious life-threatening disease in which one's whole life turns to shit due to the fact that one cannot eat a juicy medium-rare steak. Side effects are irritation, upset stomach, nausea, veganism. #SaagarNeedsSteak

  7. Maybe people should transform Christmas from the shallow, consumer driven rubbish it is now into something more meaningful. People need to start recognizing opportunities for change in all these crises rather than a "bad thing". Wake up, people.

  8. This is a manufacured crisis.Say they have plenty of bodies and resources to deal with the back up. There are hundreds of ports that are not backed ip and ports that have no traffic that are backed up.Our leaders are in cahoots with China. They sell our country and its resources to China because they are robbing the USA.

  9. One of the Major Problems is the State of California Independent Contractors. The Port of Long Beach/LA use to use about 85% 1099 (Independent Contractors) in 2019. These contracts took the containers from the Dock to Container Clearing lots. The law (I think was AB5) that went into effect in 2020. This cut the 1099 truckers from the Port to the Clearing Yards. This caused a shortage of drivers from Port to Clearing yards. The port can run 24/7 but if you don't have enough drivers to take from port to Clearing yards then it stacks up and the ships in the ships stack up in the bay. Maybe you could look at the Independent Contractor. Also the Containers going back to the port has a bunch of regs they have to jump thru. Can you review this angle?

  10. Problem #1 is that we live in a culture where the government is so disproportionately powerful that anyone would look to the president to guarantee something like this.

  11. This is such a weird conversation. Shouldn’t we be more concerned about a food shortage than a “Christmas” shortage. As always they’re focused on corporations black line than people living

  12. LOLLOOL THIS IS SO DUMB.. AMERICA IS UPSET BECAUSE IT WONT GET WHAT IT WANTS??? AS IN GOODS FOR X-MAS?? WHAT A PRIVILEGED SOCIETY!! HOW ABOUT WORRY ABOUT THE EDUCATION FUND AND NOT WHAT FEEDS THE GLUTTONOUS!! SAD THAT THIS IS WHAT WORRIES THE WHITE HOUSE!!

  13. They all sold us out over the last 4 decades and we let it happen. We make nothing. We barely assemble anything. We have massive natural resources of our own we don't make use of. Biden's a problem but so is Congress, individual States, and ultimately ourselves.
