For a country that ISN”T overrun with Nazis and Nazi sympathizers, Ukraine sure does seem to contain lots of folks sporting Nazi tattoos or patches on their clothing. The latest to be revealed is one of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s bodyguards, who was spotted during a visit to the recently liberated eastern Ukrainian city of Izyum sporting a so-called Totenkopfverbande patch, celebrating the guards who ran Nazi concentration camps and later made up Hitler’s personal guards.

The Tottenkopf was the badge of the 3rd SS Panzer Division and the key the badge of the 1st SS Panzer Division, the Wolfs Hook that the Azov wear was the badge of the 2nd SS Panzer Division, all three were at the tank battle at Kirsk against the Russians. The Tottenkopf has actually been used as a military badge since the days of the Holy Roman Empire, it was worn in WW1 by German shock troops. The Tottenkopf was also adopted by the SS as a cap badge. The Black Sun that many ukranian soldiers have been seen wearing or as a tattoo is another SS badge

Not defending the Ukraine military but most of the symbols the nazi's used were incorporated from other meanings and uses. The example is the swastika. Fun fact if you visit China now you will see swastikas all over because the communist party see Hitler as a great and powerful leader. No one complains.
